Cellula
- Language Mini Album
The new mini album combines Cellula's sparkling electro funk with the new vocal talent of Mhz Amida over 5 new tracks. The tracks launch higher on the dancefloor with a social conscience to boot.
The EP is Cellula's second release and is out now on Automata Recordings.
Cellula Info
Cellula
consists of producers O1 (aka Owen Rowe) and Cameron Saunders. The
new mini album 'Language' includes tracks tested during gigs in 2008/9. Both Cameron & 01 are long time bass players,
instrumentalists and production headz.
The O1 hailing originally from New Zealand, has produced compositions for
Melbourne dance performance, visual art installations alongside the
development of Cellulas swirling soundscapes.
Having
produced and written music in the UK & Australia for film, web
and cinema in the pre-cellula years, Cameron now adds a space funk
instrumental approach and a fresh vibe to the studio to underpin
Cellula’s electro funk breaks.

Amida Bio:
Mhz
Amida has been a singin from the time she could talk. Turning her hat
to theatre in the late 90’s she wove her sweet as honey voice
through her performances with the eclectic Camel Magic around
Melbourne appearing at The Everlyn, C.E.R.E.S enviro park, Smith st
and various festivals. As part of Wolfgang theatre troupe she also
performed as a singing truffle tree for their adaption of Suess’s
classic the Lorax, at Apollo Bay Music Fest.
Amida
met up with the guys from Cellula in 2006 while living in Daylesford
Victoria and after doing a few freestyle vocal sets with the lads at
the famous Palais in Hepburn this hoochy coochy mamma of three has
been making their sound extra spunky at various gigs and gatherings
ever since.
Amida
hears herself as a freestyle melodic poet and brings her passion for
musical performance storytelling and love of life together in her
succulent harmonies.
